Our client seeks a Senior Early Years Educator qualified to level 3 or above. Working closely with the management team you be responsible for providing a stimulating, caring and safe environment for children aged 0-5. The Senior Early Years Educator will take the lead on the delivery of the curriculum, planning and record keeping. 

The Senior Early Years Educator will support the manager of the setting to provide smooth consistent running of the nursery in order to deliver outstanding provision to the children and their families in line with the EYFS. In addition, you will take on a line management role responsible for a small group of Nursery Practitioners to maintain high standards of performance and practice. 

The Senior Early Years Educator will promote an environment in which children’s all-round development and well-being is paramount and where families feel valued and supported. The Senior Early Years Educator will take the lead in the assessment of children’s progress and in meeting children’s needs through a program of creative and innovative play and educational activities making full use of the wonderful outdoor environment. 

The setting has a vision of a strong community where every child and parent are given the chance to realise their potential and enjoy a good quality of life. The Senior Early Years Educator will ensure the children’s needs are responded to promptly and that routines are catered for in an enjoyable, social and positive way.

Responsibilities and duties:

Qualifications and skills:

  • Level 3 nursery nurse qualification or equivalent
  • Working knowledge of Safeguarding young children
  • A solid working knowledge of the EYFS
  • The ability to recognise, promote and share good practice
  • The ability to promote children’s learning, care and independence
