Nursery Practitioner, Forest Hill

The Nursery Practitioner will be a calm affectionate professional who is able to support children’s learning, development and independence through thoughtfully planned activities, experiences and events in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). 

The Nursery Practitioner will ideally have some experience of being a key person to a group of children. You will be responsible for planning activities for your key children to enhance their learning and development as well as building positive relationships with families and supporting the children’s well-being.

The ideal Nursery Practitioner will be committed to proving young children with fun enjoyable activities in a calm and friendly environment. You will have a solid and steady career track record with the ability to be a supportive and engaging team player. ​

Salary: £16,500 - £19,000

Responsibilities and duties​

  • Be a key person to a group of children
  • Ensure children are kept safe and secure
  • Plan activities in line with Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
  • Have knowledge of safeguarding
  • Provide a supportive and caring experience for children
  • Support children’s learning and development 

Qualifications and skills

  • Level 2 or 3 Nursery Practitioner or equivalent
  • An understanding of safeguarding children
  • Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
  • Good communication skills

Enhanced DBS and background checks will be conducted
