A Private Day Nursery in Catford seeks an experienced nursery practitioner to care for babies aged 3 - 20 months in their well-resourced high-quality room providing care for 13 babies. A normal working week is 3 full days and 2 half days.

The ideal nursery practitioner will be someone who is passionate about their work with young children and is a committed team player. The nursery recognises that the practitioners are the most important part of the nursery. The nursery provides opportunities to further their nursery practitioner’s knowledge with opportunities for both in house and external training opportunities.

The nursery practitioner work together with the room team to ensure the babies have the very best start to life through caring thoughtful interactions, personal care and learning opportunities. The nursery practitioner will be a key person to a group of babies, recording and assessing their developmental progress. The nursery ethos is a family and community orientated environment recognising children’s uniqueness as individuals and catering for their individual needs and learning through play.

Qualifications and skills

  • Level 3 childcare qualification, equivalent or above
  • Previous experience in a similar role desirable
  • Working knowledge of Safeguarding young children
  • A good understanding of the EYFS

Enhanced DBS and background checks will be conducted
