The successful Nursery Manager will have full control of all aspects of the nursery to develop an inspiration learning environment. You will receive the full support of the owners of this family run Nursery. You will be expected to have a clear understanding of all aspects of managing a Nursery.The Nursery Manager will have a proven track record to confidently lead the nursery team and to work alongside the supportive directors. You will have the ability and knowledge to recognise and promote the delivery of high quality care and learning within the setting.

Salary: £32,000 + Negotiable

Nursery Manager, Forest Hill

Responsibilities and duties​

  • Ensure a smooth day to day running of the nursery
  • Mentor and coach the staff team
  • Be a positive role model for the staff team
  • Carry out effective appraisals and supervisions
  • Manage nursery budgets
  • Lead regular staff meetings and training
  • Be an inspirational leader


Qualifications and skills

  • Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification or equivalent
  • 2 year’s management experience
  • Knowledge of the EYFS
  • Understanding of the planning cycle
  • The ability to lead by example and be reflective
  • Understanding of the statutory requirements
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of safeguarding procedures
